Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist with a manufacturing partner of ours in the St Paul MN area!

Key Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals.
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching (invoice, PO, receipt) where applicable.
- Maintain vendor files, records, and account reconciliations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payments (ACH, checks, wire transfers).
- Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment cycles.
- Reconcile statements and research outstanding invoice issues.
- Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Assist with process improvements and AP automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred).
- 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of AP principles and general ledger concepts.
- Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
