Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist with a manufacturing partner of ours in the St Paul MN area!

• Pay: $55,000-$65,000/yr
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
• ASAP Start

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals.
• Perform 2-way and 3-way matching (invoice, PO, receipt) where applicable.
• Maintain vendor files, records, and account reconciliations.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payments (ACH, checks, wire transfers).
• Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment cycles.
• Reconcile statements and research outstanding invoice issues.
• Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Assist with process improvements and AP automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred).
• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of AP principles and general ledger concepts.
• Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
